You've all heard of this movie, right? Made in the last three or so years, with Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal? You know, the one where the northern half of the planet undergoes an ice age?
OK, yeah, so that's pretty much what it's like here right now. Except the hunky Dennis Quaid will not be coming to rescue us. We totaled about a foot and a half on Sunday, and then another twelve inches dumped on us last night/this morning. School was cancelled Monday, let out early Tuesday, and cancelled today - who knows for tomorrow? I've forgotten what my students look like...but it's OK, because I will now have them until early June because of the snow days we must make up.
But, on a positive note, I have realized now how much I enjoy working in the adult world. I realize now that I really am NOT cut out for stay-at-home-mom material. We've all been cooped up indoors the last few days, and we're all suffering from cabin fever...and my three children all just got on my nerves today (I mean, I still love them dearly, but you know...). So, we watched a couple more movies and played a couple more hours of video games than would usually be allowed. So what!
Nevertheless, a decent day. I baked cookies (my fave - oatmeal chocolate chip) and did laundry. Spencer and I also had fun writing a little family newspaper using templates on Microsoft Word. We ended up having leftovers for supper, which we don't usually do, but we had a fridge full of them, so now there's more space in my refrigerator now that they're gone. Space for what, I don't know exactly. I also read a book, and various other indiscriminata.
Yeah, that's about it. Peace out, girl scout.
